Observation of heat cycles or veterinary palpation
It should be determined what stage the mare is in her heat cycle prior to arrival It is preferable to bring mare for service one or two days before her heat cycle begins.
It should be noted if a mare is known to have short cycles
(one or two days).
Please wash off any Show Sheen or any other slippery coat enhancers
